Dr. Michael S. McCown
Dr. McCown grew up in Soldotna, Alaska, and attended the University of Washington and Pacific University in Oregon. He began his optometric career in Sequim, Washington, in 1990 and came to Silverdale in 1993, becoming a partner in the practice in 1994.
Dr. McCown enjoys a challenge. Whether it's helping a patient with a difficult contact lens fit, or acquiring five additional optometric practices, his goal is to use his problem solving skills to make sure his patients receive the best the eyecare world has to offer. After experiencing first hand the benefits of laser vision correction in 1997, Dr. McCown has helped many others enjoy the freedom that comes from great vision.
Dr. McCown's life is filled with his work, wife, four children, and his church, and he encourages all who have a good clean joke to share to come see him and begin seeing life from a new perspective.

Dr. Jon Willems
Dr. Willems was born in California to a family of educators, and after graduating from UC Davis and Pacific University in 1990, he uses that background to educate patients about their vision and how best to maximize their visual potential.
Dr. Willems has practiced in the county since 1990 and joined Dr. McCown in his Vashon practice in 2000, becoming a partner in both Vashon and Silverdale in 2003.
He and his wife, have a wonderful, dinosaur-loving son, who is destined to become the world's youngest paleontologist. Dr. Willem's skills at diagnosing visual conditions combine well with his goal of helping every patient preserve and enhance the gift of sight.

Dr. John J. Mayes
Dr. Mayes grew up in Issaquah, Washington, and attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana. After recieving his BA in biology at Carrol, he attended The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. While at school, Dr. Mayes was recognized for his excellence in ocular disease management and pediatrics.
Dr. Mayes joined Silverdale Eyecare Center in December 2006. He enjoys the wonderful atmosphere that the staff and other doctors bring to Silverdale Eyecare Center.Dr. Mayes enjoys challenges and talking with patients about their ocular or medical conditions as well as all their options.
When not at the office Dr. Mayes loves spending time with his beautiful and energetic twin daughters.

Mitchell D. Brockett, O.D.
Tired of feeling like your eye care exam has turned into the same cookie cutter experience your local fast food restaurant has to offer? Dr. Brockett has made it his personal goal to individualize as well as personalize eye care services for each patient who enters his office. Dr. Brockett feels that a strong patient-doctor partnership is built through effective record keeping and consistent follow up appointments. He takes the time to understand his patients so he can identify distinct eye care needs and maximize patient care. Dr. Brockett is an active member of the American Optometric Association where he engages in continuing educational training throughout the year. He seeks to share new medical options for his patients while refining current services.
Dr. Brockett is an active member in the community where he provides strengthening support through Rotary service and local recreational sports clubs. In the past, Dr. Brockett has been a part of a team of doctors who have delivered humanitarian services to a third world country where, although they had access to limited resources, were able to improve the lives of many individuals.
Dr. Brockett earned his doctoral degree from Pacific University in 2001 but don't let that fool you. His blood runs crimson and gray; he received his bachelor of science in engineering from Washington State University. He joined 20/20 Eyecare Center in 2001 where, along with his family, he has made Kitsap County their permanent home. Denise Iversen, O.D.
Dr. Iversen grew up in eastern and western Idaho, and graduated from Boise State University in 1997 with a BA in Economics. She later graduated from Pacific University's College of Optometry in 2001. Upon graduation Dr. Iversen was the given the Donald A. Bybee award for excellence in vision therapy by the College of Optometry.
In 2001, Dr. Iversen returned to the Puget Sound region to practice as a vision therapist and then later to co-manage laser vision correction at Madigan Medical Center.
Dr. Iversen joined Port Orchard Eyecare and Silverdale Eyecare in May of 2007. Dr. Iversen, along with support staff, strives to give a thorough eye exam and also provide the patient with a clear understanding of their ocular conditions. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their visual needs to provide the best possible options for obtaining great vision.
In her free time Dr. Iversen enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband Martin and daughter Christina.
